Agartala, November 07. The week-long celebration of the ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ organized by the Tripura University (Central) began on October 31 and concluded on November 06 last.The Tripura University’s vice-chancellor (VC) Prof Ganga Prasad Prasain led by the integrity pledge taken by the faculties, officers, research scholars, students and other employers of the University.
The University organized essay writing and speech competition among the research scholars and students on the theme “Corruption free India for a Developed Nation”. A special lecture by Bikas Deb, Additional Superintendent of Police, Vigilance, Tripura was also organized. He talked about different measures taken by the Government of India to stop corruption. He also emphasized the role of general public in fighting corruption.
In this programme, the welcome address was delivered by Dr Deepak Sharma, Register, Tripura University and Prof. Ganga Prasad Prasain, Vice Chancellor delivered the presidential address. Prof. Binod Chandra Tripathy, Chief Vigilance Officer, Tripura University, offered the Vote of Thanks. The weeklong celebration was completed with the distribution of prizes of different competitions.
