Agartala, May 29, 2023: Becoming impatient due to husband’s continuous boozing condition, irate wife attacked her husband with a sharp cutting weapon at North Ganganagar Ward no.-5 area under Dharmanagar sub-division.
Hearing the hue and cry, neighbours informed fire service men. Fire department personnel shifted the severely injured husband named Raju Gour to North Tripura district hospital at Dharmanagar.
The victim’s wife is identified as Maya Gour, who has accepted the responsibility of doing this crime.
Speaking to media persons here, Maya Gour said that Raju, her husband is a daily wage labourer by profession, beat her by drinking alcohol throughout the day. At one point, the barrier of patience was broken and she also resisted to his attack. Ultimately, Maya failed to control her anger and this untoward incident took place.
According to the hospital sources, Raju’s throat, hands and feet have been injured. The doctors have started treatment and claimed that the situation is alarming.
