Agartala, 22nd February 2025 : In an era where social media promotes superficial connections, societal loneliness is on the rise, leading to the spread of social issues. Addressing this, Ajanta Roy, a renowned teacher from Satnala Class XII School has introduced an innovative initiative named “Esho Kotha Boli.”
The aim of this initiative is to create an environment where people from different sections of society can discuss pressing social problems, including child marriage, drug addiction, school dropouts, and social inequality.
The program commenced today in Paschimi Satnala village under Dashda block, with around twenty-five villagers participating. The discussions focused on key issues such as child marriage, drug addiction, and social degradation.
“Teachers should not be confined to the four walls of the school. They can directly contribute to societal betterment by engaging with the community,” Ajanta Roy stated. He emphasized that contemporary society suffers from isolation, which fuels anti-social activities. “Nowadays, people are isolated from each other, and this isolation is leading to an increase in anti-social activities. People no longer have time to converse with each other, as everyone is engrossed in their mobile phones, reducing the depth of relationships,” he added.
In the Kanchanpur Satnala area, where Shri Roy works, he has urged everyone to unite and work towards transforming society through the “Esho Kotha Boli” program. “Through ‘Esho Kotha Boli,’ we aim to bring people together and foster open discussions to address societal issues,” he remarked.
