Agartala, 1st January 2023 : In a solemn ceremony held at the Agartala Press Club on Monday, the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) observed the first death anniversary of their late party president and former minister, NC Debbarma. The commemorative event saw the presence of dignitaries, including Minister Shukla Charan Noatia and current IPFT Party President Prem Kumar Reang, who paid their respects to the departed leader.
Party members and leaders gathered to remember the visionary leader who founded the IPFT party, initiating a movement for a separate state. Late NC Debbarma, who passed away on January 1, 2023, was hailed as the guardian of the party, and his absence was keenly felt during the memorial meeting.
Addressing the gathering, IPFT Party President Prem Kumar Reang acknowledged the void left by NC Debbarma’s demise. He emphasized that the movement initiated by the late leader for a separate state remained incomplete, and it is now the responsibility of the party to carry forward his vision.
