Jagadish urges TIPRA MLAs to raise voice for indigenous people in assembly

Agartala: April 17. Chairman of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Jagadish Debbarma today urged the newly elected TIPRA Motha MLAs to raise their voices in the Assembly to solve the problems of indigenous people living in the state.

Today on behalf of the TTAADC administration a felicitation program was arranged to felicitate the newly elected 13 MLAs of Tipra Motha Party at Khumulwng.

Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl, Member of Administrative Reforms Committee of TTAADC graced the chief guest’s seat, TTAADC chief executive member Purnachandra Jamatia was present as a special guest.

Besides, EM Kamal Koloi, Dolly Reang, Bhabaranjan Reang, Rajesh Tripura and Suhail Debbarma were present as guests of honour.

TTAADC chairman Jagadish Debbarma decorated the chair of the president on the occasion. Besides, MDCs of TTAADC Sadagar Koloi, Debajit Tripura, Umashankar Debbarma and Ganesh Debbarma were present on the occasion.

On behalf of the TTAADC administration, Chairman Jagadish Debbarma and Chief Executive Member Purnachandra Jamatia along with other greeted Legislative Assembly Leader of Opposition Animesh Debbarma, MLAs Paul Dangshu, Philip Kumar Reang, Pathan Lal Jamatia, Biswajit Koloi, Manab Debbarma, Nandita Reang and Swapna Debbarma.

TTAADC Administrative Reforms Committee Member Bijay Kumar Hrangkhawl, Chairman Jagadish Debbarma, Chief Executive Member Purnachandra Jamatia and Leader of Opposition in the State Legislative Assembly Animesh Debbarma gave brief speeches on the occasion.

 Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of TTAADC Jagadish Debbarma urged the newly elected MLAs to raise their voices in the Assembly to solve the problems of indigenous as Tipra Motha Party got the status of opposition party in the Legislative Assembly.

Chief executive Member Purnachandra Jamatia urged the MLAs to work unitedly for the development of the nation.

Opposition leader Animesh Debbarma said that the state government cannot run the government without the support of Tipra Motha. Besides, for the first time a regional party got the opportunity to play the role of the opposition party in the Legislative Assembly.

He also said that various issues including the exploitation and deprivation of the people will be raised in the assembly. He said that he will be vocal about the interests of the employees in the Legislative Assembly.
