Agartala, April 17, 2023: The TET qualified candidates once again approached the controller of the Teachers’ Recruitment Board of Tripura (TRBT) with a bunch of questions, but the controller bursts into anger at the sight of the examinees and allegedly kicked out the examinees from the controller’s room. Finally, the examinees joined the protest by sitting at the main gate of the TRBT office.
They said that the Teachers’ Recruitment Board of Tripura conducted the TET-II and TET-I examinations on December 29 and 30, 2022. After giving the tentative answer seat of that exam, the candidates find that there are many mistakes in the question paper. Accordingly, the examinees were challenged for each question by paying Rs 500. After challenging many times, the candidates met the controller of TRBT with the correct reference of the wrong questions and requested the TRBT office to check the wrong answers given and release the final answer.
But on April 06 last, TRBT published the final answers of the candidates, seeing that TRBT gave very few stars to the wrong questions. The TRBT did not correct their mistakes in this final answer, resulting in the star not being awarded for the wrong question. Only 1 out of 22 wrong questions in TET-I and only 4 star marks out of 31 questions (Arts Section) in TET-II, and six stars out of 13 questions in science section. Both categories have linguistic difficulties.
Hence, a delegation of the candidates went to the TRBT office again on Monday to demand that the wrong questions be checked for the second time and the results be published by awarding star marks to the wrong questions. The controller then pushes them out from the room. However, TRBT is not accepting their complaint in any way. So TRBT has repeatedly clarified that their allegations are baseless.
On the other hand, some people have started to ask the questions, why only a handful of candidates are constantly protesting after thousands of candidates have sat for the exam?
