JIBS conducts pro-bono teacher training program for educators at Agartala

Agartala, August 26, 2023: A delegation of Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS), OP Jindal global university led by the founder and principal director of JIBS Dr Sanjeev P Sahni, organized a  teacher training program on “Emotional Well-being and Stress Management” for the school principals, teachers, and counselors on Saturday in a city-based private hotel here.

More than 200 educators from 40 schools attended the session that accentuated the importance of maintaining a healthy work life balance by incorporating stress management techniques like mindfulness, meditation, and physical exercise. Their primary goal is to help teachers, school staff and students practice concrete stress management techniques.

As of today, their team of researchers has trained more than 2 lakh teachers and school administrators in more than 8 thousand schools across the globe.

Dr. Sahni said “We implement an unexplored approach inspired from a higher education context, using the pillars of a Flexible environment, learning culture, Intentional content, and Professional educators (FLIP) model, and we have also evolved our pro-bono training module to include contextual topics in our endeavor to reach the remote schools of the country.

Dr. Sneha Kapoor, Dr. Suryakanta Jain and Prof. Tanima Banerjee shared their valuable insights on the program.
