Jitendra Chowdhury accuses Ruling Party of Creating Divisions for Political Gains

Date:

Agartala, 19th July 2026: The Leader of the Opposition, Jitendra Chowdhury, alleged that the ruling party is creating divisions for political interests at the international level in favour of imperialism and the country’s monopoly capital.

He made the statement while addressing the Teliamura divisional conference of the DYFI, which was held on Sunday, July 19, at Teliamura Town Hall. A procession was taken out in Teliamura town around 10 am today to mark the conference.

While addressing the conference, Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Chowdhury alleged that the ruling party is creating divisions for political interests in the international arena for the sake of imperialism and the country’s monopoly capital.

“Due to this, caste, religion, and language are being used as tools to create divisions among people,” said the LoP.

He also said that it would be wrong to think that the ongoing war between America and Iran would not have an impact on India.

“Because when the youth are struggling due to unemployment in the country and the state, the impact and backlash being created is a sign of this,” he said.

He further said that during the tenure of the current government, the spread of drug addiction and the unemployment rate in the state have increased alarmingly. He called for further strengthening various mass movements and programmes in the interest of the youth.

The leaders and activists of the organisation raised slogans against the current government on various public interest issues, including increasing unemployment and the spread of drug addiction.

Also present at the conference were Tripura Legislative Assembly MLA Nirmal Biswas, DYFI State Committee President Palash Bhowmik, State Secretary Nabarun Deb, and Central Committee Member Mallika Shil, along with other leaders of the organisation.

On the other hand, DYFI State President Palash Bhowmik said that a difficult situation prevails in the country at present. He alleged that attempts are being made to change the basic spirit of the country’s Constitution, due to which common people are facing various problems.
