Agartala, 5th October 2026 : A joint inspection drive was conducted across six educational institutions in Gomati district to assess school infrastructure, academic progress and student welfare facilities.
Sri Dilip Kumar Debbarma, Joint Director of the Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Agartala, led the inspection team. He was accompanied by Gouranga Shukla Das, Deputy Director, DEO Gomati; Bulbul Chandra Das, Executive Engineer, Samagra; Junior Engineers of Samagra and other district-level officials.
The team visited Ramesh HS School, Khilpara HS School, Jamjuri HS School, Palatana HS School, PM Shri Kali Kishore High School and Shalgarah English Medium HS School.
During the visits, officials inspected completed infrastructure projects and reviewed ongoing civil works being implemented under various government schemes. The team also assessed the overall condition of school facilities and discussed issues related to infrastructure development.
The Joint Director interacted with students in classrooms to assess their learning levels and encouraged them to remain focused on their studies and strive for academic excellence. Discussions were also held with Headmasters and teachers regarding administrative and operational challenges, with emphasis on improving the overall functioning of the institutions.
Student welfare measures also formed an important part of the inspection. The officials reviewed campus cleanliness and hygiene standards and monitored the implementation and quality of the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) scheme.
The inspection drive highlighted the Directorate of Secondary Education’s focus on strengthening school infrastructure, improving academic outcomes and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for students across the state.
