Agartala, January 28: In a major blow to TIPRA Motha, 112 voters from 39 families switched to BJP in a joining programme held at Putraham Reang Para on Sunday. The meeting was organized by BJP Jolaibari Mandal President Ajay Reang, who has been instrumental in changing the political landscape of Jolaibari Assembly constituency.

Reang, who is credited with ousting the Left from the seat in the last assembly elections, is now aiming to make Jolaibari an opposition-free assembly by ensuring a massive victory for the BJP nominated candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He gave the party flag to the new entrants and urged them to vote for BJP in the polls.

Before the meeting, a debriefing session was conducted where the achievements of the state and central governments were highlighted. Reang also praised the development work done by BJP in the region and appealed to the people to support the party’s vision. BJP South District Vice President Chethai Mog and other party leaders were also present in the meeting and rally.
