Agartala, 11th August 2026: Juwel Tripura, a student of Shishu Bihar Higher Secondary School, has brought laurels to Tripura by securing the top position among Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates in the state in NEET.
Juwel scored 544 marks, recording a 97.8646379 percentile in the national medical entrance examination. He secured an All India Rank of 42,507 and stood 319th among ST candidates across the country. In the overall Tripura ranking, he secured the 29th position.
Hailing from Batua Bari under Belonia Police Station in South Tripura, Juwel is the son of Khagendra Tripura and Jharna Tripura. He completed his schooling at Shishu Bihar Higher Secondary School and appeared for NEET this year.
His strong performance has emerged as a notable achievement for the young aspirant and has also brought recognition to his school and Tripura’s ST community. His success is expected to inspire other students from the state, particularly those from tribal backgrounds, to pursue competitive examinations with confidence and determination.
