Agartala, 2nd June 2026: After years of anticipation, road construction from North Kamalnagar to Maijbhandar SPO camp in the Kalyanpur Assembly constituency has finally gained momentum. The long-standing demand of residents for an improved roadway is now being fulfilled, sparking widespread joy in the community.
For decades, locals endured severe hardships due to muddy and dilapidated roads, particularly during the monsoon season. Students, patients, traders, and daily commuters faced constant difficulties in traveling. With the new paved road under construction, residents are hopeful that these struggles will soon come to an end.
Community members believe that better road connectivity will not only ease travel but also accelerate the region’s overall socio-economic growth. They expect improvements in trade, education, healthcare, and administrative services once the project is completed.
On Tuesday, Kalyanpur MLA Pinaki Das Choudhury visited the construction site along with officials from the concerned department. During the inspection, he reviewed the quality of work and instructed that the project be completed on time while maintaining high standards.
Local residents praised the MLA’s active involvement, crediting his efforts for the implementation of several key development projects in the area. Expressing gratitude to both the legislator and the state government, they voiced confidence that ongoing initiatives will transform Kalyanpur into a more prosperous and modern region in the coming years.
