Khowai MC inspects progress on selfie-point & park construction at Tabla Chowmuhani

Agartala, December 05: A delegation from Khowai Municipal Council conducted a site visit to the ongoing construction of a selfie point with a park at Tabla Chowmuhani. The initiative, led by Khowai Municipal Council, aims to establish an attractive selfie point and park in front of the new Tabla set adjacent to BPC Para. The endeavour includes the installation of high marks lights to illuminate the area.

Chairman Debasish Nath Sharma, Vice-Chairman Nibash Saha, and Executive Chief Engineer Sujit Das from Ambassa personally inspected the construction site on Monday afternoon. Engineer Swaraj Burman, MC’s Deputy CO Hemanta Dhar, and other officials were also present during the visit.

Chairman Nath Sharma briefed reporters, stating that the construction involves the creation of a park and selfie point, accompanied by the installation of high marks lights. The responsibility for installing the lights has been entrusted to the internal division of the PWD department. The delegation’s purpose was to assess the progress and ensure the high-quality execution of the project.

Additionally, the PWD department has been tasked with widening the road near the park and selfie point. Work orders have been issued, and contractors have been appointed for the project. The high marks light will feature a five-meter circle at its base, with a renowned personality’s statue to be installed under the light. Chairman Sharma tantalizingly left the public in suspense regarding the identity of the individual whose statue will grace the site.

Chairman Nath Sharma expressed optimism that upon completion, the area would undergo a transformative change. The park and selfie point are anticipated to be completed by mid-January of the upcoming year, after which they will be dedicated to the residents of Khowai residents by the municipal council.

In an additional announcement, Chairman Sharma revealed plans to install high marks lights in Nibedita Park, located adjacent to Khowai District Hospital. The simultaneous initiation of both projects is expected to enhance the aesthetic appeal of Khowai city significantly.

Chairman Nath Sharma commended the entire council for the park’s design and assured that both Nibedita Park and the selfie point with a park project would add to the beauty of Khowai city. The developments signify a positive step towards the city’s urban enhancement and are set to leave a lasting impression on its residents.
