Agartala Dec 20: Arya Colony HS School in Belonia has been facing several problems including acute shortage of teacehrs for long time.Following the issues, deprived students and guardians on Tuesday locked the school gate seeking improvement of overall infrastructure and immediate appointment of teachers in the school.
A section of angry parents alleged, “There are more than 150 students in the morning section from classes 1-5 but only 4 teachers. The one who has been posted as head teacher is on long leave due to serious physical illness. Another teacher has been transferred from Arya Colony”.
One of the guardians said, “At present, due to shortage of teachers in the school, the study of boys and girls has almost stopped”.
After two hours of lock protest at the school gate, Arya Colony 12th school headmaster, school management committee leaders came and promised to solve the teacher problem immediately, the students opened the school lock.It is to be noted that about 20 – 25 days ago, the state Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha officially inaugurated the two-storied school building that was sanctioned during the Left Front government. The intellectuals alleged that the education system is in shamble is Tripura.
