Agartala, December 20, 2022: As a part of Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Abhiyan, the state government’s Primary Education department organized a state-level cooking competition at Chechuria High School, Mohanpur on Tuesday.
In total, 24 cookers participated in this competition from eight districts of the state who join in making mid-day meals in schools.
Education minister Ratan Lal Nath was present as the chief guest in this competitive program organized at Chechuria High School in Mohanpur this afternoon.
Minister was accompanied by the Chairman of Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti Reena Debbarma, Vice-Chairman Rakesh Deb, Chechuria High School Headmistress Gayatri Debbarma and other dignitaries.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Education minister Nath said, “We want ‘Ek Tripura’, ‘Shrestha Tripura’. So education has been given special attention. It is not enough to study by going through textbooks, but has to be educated in real education.”
Besides, he held various awareness talks for the students on this day. The participation of local people including students was noticeable in the event premises.
Prizes were awarded to the first, second and third place winners in the competition. Education minister Nath handed over certificates with the awards.
