Lefunga police destroy 4,000 cannabis plants; OC issues stern warning

Agartala, 29^th November 2025:  In a separate raid, Lefunga Police Station, led by OC Sahadeb Das, destroyed nearly 4,000 mature cannabis plants cultivated illegally on government land in the Dighalia area.

Acting on secret intel, a large force raided the plantation early Saturday. OC Das, issuing a stern warning, said: “If anyone cultivates cannabis in Lefunga area, we will cut and destroy everything. The drive will continue relentlessly.”
