Agartala, September 02, 2022: A pathetic incident took place at Nikhil Sarkar Para of Sarma ADC village in Ganchacherra sub-division where a farmer was seriously injured by lightening.
This farmer was suddenly struck by lightning while doing agricultural work on the land next to his house on Friday afternoon. He was immediately brought to Gandachhara Sub-Divisional Hospital. Light rain accompanied by thundershowers occurred in the division on Friday afternoon and a farmer named Badal Sarkar (45) was affected by that lightning.
The doctor on duty at the sub-district hospital referred Badal Sarkar to GB Hospital after giving first aid. The doctor said that the farmer’s body was affected by lightning. He has been sent to Agartala GB Hospital for better treatment. This incident created a sensation throughout the sub-division area.
