Agartala, 30th January 2024:   For the past four days, the residents of Narendranagar have been grappling with a severe drinking water crisis. Today, in protest against the persistent issue and the lack of a solution, Pramila Bahini staged a road blockade on the Damchara-Panisagar road, bringing traffic to a standstill.

Local inhabitants have repeatedly notified high-ranking officials of the Commission about the water scarcity, but no concrete actions were taken to address the problem. Frustrated by the inaction, they resorted to blocking the road this morning to demand a prompt resolution to their drinking water predicament.

Upon learning about the road blockade, senior officers quickly arrived at the scene. They engaged in discussions with the protestors, offering assurances that the drinking water problem would be promptly addressed. Satisfied with the commitment made by the officials, the demonstrators decided to lift the road blockade.
