Agartala, 26th JULY 2023:  Residents of Rangauti area in Kailashahar sub-division, fed up with enduring prolonged power outages and poor service from private electricity provider Sai Computer Power Services, took to the streets in protest, causing a road blockade on Wednesday. The demonstration, characterized by burning tires, resulted in significant traffic disruptions, compelling authorities to intervene.

The power crisis in Rangauti had been a persistent issue, leading to mounting frustration among the residents. Their grievances against Sai Computer Power Services, responsible for the electricity supply in the region, had been escalating over time.

The road blockade, which persisted until 3:00 p.m., caused considerable inconvenience to the public, leading to extensive traffic jams. The situation compelled the authorities, including the local police from Irani police station, to take prompt action.

Representatives from Sai Computer Power Services rushed to the site to engage with the protesters and address their concerns. After extensive discussions, the company assured the residents of swift measures to normalize power services in the area.

With the promise of improved service and a speedy resolution to the ongoing power outage problem, the residents decided to lift the road blockade. Normalcy returned to the area as the blockade was successfully concluded.
