Agartala, 2nd May 2025: Tension escalated at Bishalgarh’s Nabinagar Gram Panchayat today as locals locked the Khowaria Anganwadi Kendra protesting an alleged job scam.
The incident took place when Beauty Shil arrived to assume her role as an Anganwadi worker. However, enraged locals took action, claiming that employment opportunities meant for the underprivileged had instead been awarded to affluent individuals.
Demanding justice, protestors collectively locked the center from this morning, alleging systemic bias in the recruitment process. The demonstration has led to heightened tensions in the area, with residents calling for immediate intervention to ensure fair employment practices.
