Lorry Driver Electrocuted to Death in Udaipur

Agartala, 20th November 2024:   A devastating accident occurred today when a cargo lorry came into contact with live electrical wires in the Garji Tainani area of Udaipur, claiming the life of the driver on the spot. 

The deceased, identified as 24-year-old Anzir Hossain, hailed from Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports, the lorry was en route to Garji Tainani when it accidentally touched overhead electric wires. The vehicle caught fire, leading to a tragic turn of events. 

There were two individuals in the lorry at the time of the incident. While the co-driver managed to escape using quick thinking, the driver, unfortunately, could not survive. Witnesses described a horrifying scene, with the driver’s body suffering severe burns. 

Alerted by locals, the fire department responded swiftly to the incident. Firefighters arrived at the site and extinguished the flames. They retrieved the driver’s body from the vehicle and transported it to Gomati District Hospital. Upon arrival, the on-duty doctor declared Anzir Hossain brought dead.
