Agartala, 15th September 2026 :An allegation of physical assault of a student by a teacher at Darun Quran Phulbarikandi Barkhola Hafizia Madrasa has been resolved following discussions involving the local Samaj Panchayat, elected Gram Panchayat and the madrasa managing committee.
The incident reportedly took place on August 12, following which the student’s father, Monaf Ali, lodged a complaint against the accused teacher at Kailashahar police station. The matter was subsequently reported in the media.
After learning about the allegation, the community representatives and madrasa managing committee took up the issue and held discussions with the student’s family. The managing committee assured Monaf Ali that appropriate action would be taken against the teacher and that the committee would stand by the student and his family. It also assured that medical expenses would be borne by the committee if treatment was required.
Following the discussions, Monaf Ali expressed satisfaction with the steps taken and submitted an application to Kailashahar police station seeking withdrawal of his complaint.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Ali said he had approached the police in anger and emotional distress after learning about the alleged incident involving his son. He said he was satisfied with the intervention of the Samaj Panchayat, Gram Panchayat and madrasa managing committee.
Ali also said he intended to send his son back to the madrasa and had no further grievance over the matter. He requested the media not to publish further reports on the incident, stating that the issue had been resolved through community-level discussions.
The intervention has brought relief among local residents, with the concerned parties reaching an understanding over the matter.
