Agartala, 26th July 2023: The Pradesh Mahila Congress staged a procession to protest against alleged factionalism and discriminatory practices against the workers of TUEP.
The Pradesh Mahila Congress met and handed over a memorandum to the AMC Commissioner Dr Shailesh Yadav urging an immediate end to such deprivation faced by the workers.
Sarbani Ghosh Chakraborty, President of Pradesh Mahila Congress, who was present, said that the government is constantly treating TUEP workers in a partisan and discriminatory manner.
“A deputation has been made to the Commissioner of Corporations for the Government to stop such factionalism and discriminatory practices and to provide job opportunities irrespective of party affiliation. Even then, if such discriminatory behavior and factionalism is not stopped, a mass movement will be organized in every ward in the coming days”, she said.
