Man dies in bike collision at Kumarghat

Agartala, 25th December 2024:   A tragic accident took place late last night in the Sayadabari Bazar area of Kumarghat, resulting in the death of a man following a collision between two bikes. Upon receiving the news, police rushed to the scene and transported the injured individual to Kumarghat Hospital. However, the driver of the other bike managed to flee the scene.

A police officer provided details of the incident, stating, “Last night, we received information about a collision between two bikes in the Sayadabari Bazar area of Kumarghat. The condition of 56-year-old Jawhar Pal was critical. We immediately rushed to the scene and took him to Kumarghat Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.”

The officer further revealed that Jawhar Pal was the manager of the Kumarghat Co-operative Guest House. “He died due to the impact of a bike driven by an unlicensed driver,” the officer added.

The police are investigating the matter and are on the lookout for the driver who fled the scene.
