Man Kills Younger brother Over Loud Music in Sonamura

Agartala, 23rd February 2025:   In a shocking incident that unfolded in the tribal-inhabited area of Dhanmura, Taibandal, under Sonamura sub-division, a man brutally killed his younger brother following a dispute over loud music.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 9 PM last night when Bijay Debbarma and Amitabh Bachchan Debbarma, both sons of the same mother, got into a heated argument regarding the volume of a music system in their house. Vijay, the elder brother, was playing music at a high volume, which disturbed his younger sibling, Amitabh Bachchan Debbarma. When the latter requested him to lower the volume, the dispute escalated into a violent altercation.

In a fit of rage, Bijay Debbarma allegedly retrieved a sharp weapon from the house and launched a brutal attack on his younger brother, inflicting multiple injuries. The assault proved fatal, as Amitabh Bachchan Debbarma succumbed to his wounds on the spot.

Tragically, Amitabh Bachchan Debbarma’s wife was also injured while attempting to intervene and save her husband. She is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

Following the incident, Bijay Debbarma fled the scene. The body of Amitabh Bachchan Debbarma has been sent to the morgue at Melaghar Hospital for an autopsy, after which it will be handed over to the family.

Police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the absconding accused. Further investigation into the case is underway.
