Agartala, 12th September 2026 : A 32-year-old man was seriously injured after allegedly falling from a moving train and coming under its wheels near Mela Pathar railway crossing under Teliamura police station on Saturday.
The injured man has been identified as Dulu Das, 32. According to local residents, Das was travelling by train when he somehow fell from the moving train and was subsequently struck by it. He suffered severe injuries in the incident, triggering panic among people in the area.
On receiving information, personnel from the Teliamura Fire Service immediately reached the spot and rescued the injured man. He was rushed to the Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
The exact circumstances leading to the incident, however, remain unclear. It has not yet been established which train Das was travelling on, his destination, or how he fell from the moving train.
Police and other authorities are expected to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident during the course of the investigation. Further details are awaited.
