Agartala, October 21, 2022: Reiterating all the secular forces to collaborate for wiping away the BJP from power in the forthcoming assembly election, CPIM Politburo member and leader of opposition Manik Sarkar on Friday said the present government has adopted a rule of fascism, tyranny, dictatorial and monogamous terror throughout the state.

Addressing the gathering at Swami Vivekananda Maidan (Astabal) here on Friday afternoon, Sarkar said that the state had reached a desired goal with the untiring efforts of tribal and non-tribal, religious communities, etc. but the 55-month old government spoiled everything and took it to the edge of crematorium.

“The fundamental thinking and rights of the common people are suppressed, media houses were attacked and right to vote has been abolished during the 55 months rule of BJP-led government. Hence, we have to unite to save the state from further destruction. While uniting, the ideologies of various anti-BJP political parties would not be intervened. As it is the need of the hour, common people will be playing a pivotal role in achieving the target in 2023”, he added.

Asking “Where is my job?” to the government, Sarkar said that the BJP had made several bogus commitments before arrival in power, but now, everything is buried. The unemployed youths were promised for employment, but now, the government is unwilling to employ them. The youths will be cheated again if they step their foot on the trap of the BJP once again. He urged the youths not to be lured with evil intention of the saffron party.

“In the pre-poll promise i.e. Vision Document, BJP promised to settle the problem of sacked 10,323 teachers. Till now, their matter is not solved and it won’t resolved unless and until the existing government is ousted from power. The government declared a war against unemployed youths as well as government employees depriving them from DAs, promotions to permanent and regularised positions”, Sarkar told gathering.

He further urged the people to create awareness and make others understand regarding the urgency of ousting the government.
