Agartala, August 08: Various Manipuri organizations within the state came together in a joint effort on Tuesday to advocate for peace in Manipur. The Tripura Manipuri Co-ordination Committee for Peace in Manipur orchestrated a four-hour mass stand in front of the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan to voice their demand for restoring tranquillity in the region.

During the public sit-in, representatives from these organizations emphasized that the ordinary people of Manipur are not in favour of riots and unrest. They strongly believe that such turmoil is the result of a political conspiracy aimed at destabilizing the region. The conspirators’ attempts to instigate political terror in neighbouring states like Assam and Tripura were thwarted, but Manipur has experienced some degree of success in their sinister endeavours.

The primary objective of the sit-in was to bring attention to the urgent need for peace restoration in Manipur, as the prevailing unrest continues to affect the lives and well-being of the people in the state. The participants expressed their determination to work towards a harmonious environment, one that fosters progress and prosperity for all citizens.

As the public demonstration concluded, the organizers reiterated their unwavering commitment to the cause and urged authorities to take immediate action in addressing the underlying issues leading to unrest in Manipur. The united stand taken by these Manipuri organizations sends a strong message of solidarity and hope for a peaceful and stable future in the state.
