Mass rally by IPFT ahead of ADC elections

Agartala, 17th  March 2026 :  As the upcoming hill elections draw closer, political parties are intensifying their campaigns. In line with this momentum, the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) organized a massive rally and street meeting today under the initiative of its Jolaibari Divisional Committee.

The rally commenced in front of the Baikhora SSB camp and marched through several localities, including National Highway 8, before culminating in a street meeting at Kolsirmukh. The event witnessed a large turnout of party workers and supporters.

Manik Tripura, Chairman of the Youth IPFT Advisory Committee; Jitiram Tripura, Assistant General Secretary of the IPFT Central Committee; Harinath Tripura, Organizing Secretary of the Central Committee; Jyotilal Reang, President of the Santirbazar and Jolaibari Divisional Committees; and President Prafulla Tripura, were present.

In their addresses, party leaders claimed that many individuals who had previously joined other political parties are now returning under the IPFT banner. They asserted that this resurgence is strengthening the party’s organizational base in the hills and across the state.
