Massive Fire Engulfs Rubber Warehouse , Losses Estimated Around One Crore

Agartala, 27th January 2026:   A massive fire broke out at a rubber warehouse in Madhuban ADC Village, Anandabazar, causing extensive damage to the rubber processing center. The incident, which occurred late on the night of Republic Day, has resulted in losses estimated at nearly one crore rupees.

According to reports, the fire started around 11:00 PM in the rubber warehouse owned by Pritam Nath, son of Nirmal Nath, a resident of Ward No. 2 in Madhuban ADC Village. By the time the first fire service personnel arrived at the scene, the flames had already spread rapidly throughout the entire rubber processing center.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Upon receiving the news, the Dharmanagar Fire Service team rushed to the spot and worked tirelessly to control the blaze. As the situation escalated beyond their control, two additional units from Dharmanagar and one from Panisagar were deployed, bringing a total of four fire service units to tackle the fire.

After several hours of intense firefighting, the fire was finally brought under control around 2:00 AM. Authorities are investigating the incident to ascertain the cause and prevent similar occurrences in the future.
