Agartala, 11th April 2025: The state’s Youth Affairs and Sports department is set to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar with a series of vibrant programmes. A review meeting chaired by officials was recently convened to ensure seamless execution of these events.
Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar, alongside Department Director S B Nath and other senior officials were present at the meeting. Mayor Majumdar announced that the main event will take place at Umakanta Academy’s ground in the coming days drawing participants and spectators from all districts.
The celebration will feature six competitions, including football, kabaddi, volleyball, yoga, musical chairs, and another exciting event. Enthusiasm is palpable across the state, with widespread anticipation for this tribute to Ambedkar’s legacy.
