Agartala, 30th November 2024: A vendor license distribution program was organized on Saturday by the North Zonal Office with Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar inaugurating the event. The programme aimed to support street vendors through the Prime Minister’s PM Swanidhi Yojana, which provides deposit-free loans to help them become self-reliant.
Mayor Majumdar expressed optimism about the initiative stating, “The PM Swanidhi Yojana will greatly benefit street vendors by providing them with the necessary financial support to grow their businesses.”
The program also saw participation from the East Zonal of the Municipal Corporation, which has been actively promoting the PM Shubh Nidhi Yojana. Honorable Chairman of the East Zonal, Sukhmay Saha, and esteemed corporators of the zone were present at the event.
Mayor Majumdar praised the efforts of the East Zonal Municipal Corporation, saying, “This program is a commendable step towards empowering street vendors and ensuring their economic stability. We are grateful for the support and participation of everyone involved.”
