Agartala, 20th August 2026 : Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mayor Dipak Majumder on Thursday visited various areas under Wards 41 and 42 to assess civic issues and take stock of problems faced by local residents.
During the visit, the Mayor interacted with residents and discussed issues related to roads, drainage, sanitation and other civic amenities. He also inspected several locations and heard the concerns raised by residents.
Following the inspection, Majumder directed the concerned officials to take necessary steps for resolving the identified problems at the earliest.
It may be mentioned that following the death of Ward 41 corporator Abhijit Ghosh, Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta is currently overseeing the responsibilities of the ward. On Thursday, the Mayor and Deputy Mayor jointly inspected several areas of both Wards 41 and 42.
AMC Commissioner Saju Wahid, South Zone Chairman Abhijit Mallik, along with other officials and representatives of the civic body, accompanied them during the inspection.
The AMC representatives assured residents that the issues identified during the visit would be addressed promptly and that necessary measures would be taken to improve civic services in the affected areas.
