Mayor Dipak Majumder reviews immersion preparations ahead of Durga Puja conclusion

Agartala, 24th September 2025:   With the immersion of Maa Durga slated for October 4, Mayor Dipak Majumdar on Wednesday led a high-level inspection to assess the readiness of civic and security arrangements across key immersion sites in the city.

Accompanying the mayor were Secretary Pradip Chakraborty, Councillor Ratna Dutta, West District Magistrate Vishal Kumar, West Tripura Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, and other senior officials. The team reviewed logistical setups, crowd management plans, and safety protocols to ensure a smooth and secure conclusion to the festivities.

Officials emphasized the importance of coordination between municipal bodies and law enforcement to manage the large turnout expected during the immersion procession.

The inspection comes as part of the administration’s broader effort to uphold public safety and cultural reverence during one of Tripura’s most significant religious events.
