MDC funds used to support poor and youth at Rajapur area

Agartala, 5th January 2026:   On the occasion of the English New Year, a community gathering was held at Perchari Bazar under the 22-Kathalia-Mirza-Rajapur constituency, where MDC Padma Lochan Tripura distributed clothing among poor and underprivileged members of minority and tribal communities. The initiative was funded through his MDC Area Development Fund.

In addition to clothing distribution, sports equipment was handed over to youths from Birchandra, Rajapur, and Perchari areas, aimed at encouraging physical development and promoting healthy activities among the younger generation.

The program witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Minister of Youth and Welfare Tinku Roy, tribal leader Paritosh Debbarma, state tribal committee media in-charge Rabindra Reang, Mandal President Debasish Bhowmik, and Mandal Vice-President Bikash Sen, among others.

Local residents expressed their appreciation for MDC Padma Lochan Tripura’s consistent generosity and commitment to community welfare. They noted that his initiatives have brought relief and encouragement to marginalized groups across the Rajapur and Birchandra ADC areas.

Speaking at the event, MDC Padma Lochan Tripura emphasized his belief in the principle that “people are for people,” assuring that similar social welfare programs will continue in the coming days across the Mirza Kathalia Rajapur constituency.
