MDoNER Secretary holds meeting, reviews projects in Tripura

Agartala, 27th April 2026:  A high-level review meeting on key development initiatives in Tripura was recently conducted in Agartala, chaired by Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER).

Held at the State Guest House, the meeting brought together Chief Secretary JK Sinha and senior officials from both the state and central governments. The session focused on reviewing the progress of major infrastructure and tourism projects supported by MDoNER, along with other priority development schemes across Tripura.

Officials assessed current implementation status, discussed delays and challenges, and considered ways to speed up execution of ongoing projects. Key areas of focus included improving connectivity, promoting tourism development, and ensuring better use of centrally funded programs.

The discussions underscored the importance of close coordination between the Centre and the state to convert planning into effective on-ground results. The meeting concluded with an emphasis on accelerating project timelines and strengthening delivery systems so that development benefits reach local communities more efficiently.
