Agartala, 27th November 2024: A Meet and Greet event was held on Wednesday at Sukanta Academy here organized by the Press Information Bureau, Agartala in collaboration with the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs.
The event was part of the initiatives leading up to the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit, which will take place from February 5-9, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event was organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of the Department of Information and Culture. In his opening remarks, Dr. Chakraborty emphasized India’s significant position in the digital world and the importance of disseminating accurate information through appropriate channels. “It is essential to ensure that true information on all subjects is published through the right medium,” he stated, wishing success for the upcoming summit.
Dr. Dipak Sharma, Registrar of Tripura Central University attended as the guest of honor while Samdarshi Datta, Faculty at Tripura Film and Television Institute was the special guest. In his welcome speech, Subhasish Chanda, Deputy Director of the Press Information Bureau highlighted the objective of the event. “This event aims to empower the new generation of youth to advance by utilizing audio-visual digital media,” Chanda said.
The gathering included officials from various departments, students from schools, colleges, and universities, as well as members of the NCC. The event also featured a state-wide road show, adding to the excitement and engagement.
The World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit promises to be a landmark event, focusing on the future of digital media and entertainment. The Meet and Greet event at Sukanta Academy has set the stage for meaningful discussions and collaborations in the lead-up to the summit.
