Agartala, 15th May 2026: Carrying forward the humanitarian message of “Donate Blood, Save Lives”, the Dhalai District Police organized a mega blood donation camp today at Jawaharnagar Police Lines. The initiative reflects not only the police’s role in maintaining law and order but also their commitment to social responsibility.
The camp was inaugurated in a colorful ceremony today, with enthusiastic participation from police officials, jawans, and local residents. Organizers emphasized that the police force’s duty extends beyond enforcing law—it also includes standing beside the community through service-oriented initiatives.
From the very beginning, officers of various ranks and police personnel came forward to donate blood. The collected units will be sent to government blood banks to aid critically ill patients. Officials highlighted that such efforts help address urgent shortages and save lives.
Senior officers including District SP Rusikesh Desai, Additional SP Uttam Banik, and DSP (DIB) Sabir Ahmed were present to encourage donors. Over 60 units of blood were voluntarily donated by police jawans during the camp.
Local citizens and administrative officials praised this humanitarian initiative, noting that it sets a positive example of social responsibility. The Dhalai District Police extended heartfelt appreciation to all donors, expressing hope that the camp will spread awareness about the importance of regular blood donation in society.
