Mega health camp at Dharmanagar Degree College

Date:

Agartala 20th July 2026:   A mega health camp was successfully organized at Dharmanagar Government Degree College under the joint initiative of Dakshin Hurua Ayushman Arogya Mandir and the college’s National Service Scheme (NSS). The program aimed to conduct health check-ups for students and promote awareness about healthy living.

A total of 56 students from the college voluntarily participated in the camp. Doctors carried out tests including blood pressure (BP), hemoglobin levels, and screenings for serious sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV and Syphilis. Encouragingly, all 56 students tested negative for both HIV and Syphilis.

Alongside the medical examinations, an awareness session was held focusing on HIV/AIDS and Syphilis prevention, healthy lifestyle practices, and balanced nutrition. Free medicines were distributed among the students after the discussion.

The camp witnessed the presence of experienced doctors from the district hospital, pharmacists, lab technicians, Community Health Officer (CHO) Minati Debbarma, MPW Biswajit Ghosh, ASHA workers, and faculty members of the college. Both the college authorities and students warmly appreciated the organizers for this welfare-oriented initiative.
