Agartala, 5th May 2025: A grand reception ceremony was held at Kalamchoura Class XII School today to felicitate its outstanding students who secured merit positions in the recently announced Secondary and Higher Secondary examinations conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education.
The results published on April 30 revealed that Biswajit Sarkar, a Secondary student at the school achieved an impressive 95.8%, scoring 479 out of 500 marks and securing a merit position. Similarly, in the Higher Secondary Arts stream, student Tanushree Saha also secured a merit position with 486 marks, an equally remarkable 95.8%. Both students now hold the top positions in the Seahijala district, with strong prospects of ranking among the state’s top ten.
Recognizing their achievements, the school’s headmaster Shanti Debbarma and SMC committee chairman Chandana Sutradhar Sarkar jointly organized a felicitation ceremony. Sarkar inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp, accompanied by Debbarma, Zilla Parishad member Babli Deb and several teachers and committee members.
A heartfelt musical presentation by student Aaso Hey Alo set the tone for the celebratory event, after which the school proudly honored Saha and Sarkar with sweets and certificates. In addition to accolades, gifts and financial assistance were provided to the students to support their future academic pursuits.
Expressing his joy, headmaster Debbarma remarked, “It is truly inspiring to witness students from financially struggling backgrounds achieve such excellence. Their dedication proves that education is the greatest tool for success.”
A senior teacher further emphasized the importance of perseverance, stating, “Hard work and determination are the keys to success. These students have demonstrated that even those from rural backgrounds can compete with their urban counterparts and excel in various fields.” In addition to the two merit achievers, the school celebrated the success of several other students: five girls in Secondary First Division, one boy in Second Division, and five students who secured First Division in Higher Secondary. The SMC committee expressed hope that the government will provide financial aid to deserving students so they may continue their education without barriers.
