Minister Animesh Debbarma visits Krishnapur assembly constituency amid development demands

Agartala, 25th November 2025:    Responding to calls from local residents for accelerated development, Science, Technology and Environment Minister Animesh Debbarma today visited the Tuikarma area under Mungiakami in the Krishnapur assembly constituency.

During the inspection, the minister acknowledged that members of the tribal community in Tuikorm have long been pressing for several key infrastructure and livelihood improvements.

Their major demands include: Paving the unsealed road connecting Tuikorm to the Assam-Agartala National Highway; Establishing a nursery for betel nut and fruit trees in the area; and Addressing the acute drinking water shortage and upgrading other basic amenities.

Speaking after the visit, Minister Debbarma said the residents’ demands were legitimate and deserved priority. He added that his on-site inspection, accompanied by officials from various departments, was aimed at assessing the feasibility of implementing these projects at the earliest.
