Agartala, 14th November 2025: Two newly constructed Tehsil office buildings were inaugurated today at Fatikroy and Kanchanbari under the Fatikroy assembly constituency. The inauguration was carried out by local MLA and Tripura’s Minister for Animal Resource Development, Scheduled Caste Welfare and Fisheries, Sudhanshu Das during a grand ceremony.
The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Minister Das, followed by unveiling of plaques and ribbon-cutting to formally open the new buildings.
Among the dignitaries present were Kumarghat SDM NS Chakma, Unakoti Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Amlendu Das, RD Superintending Engineer Sushanta Choudhury, along with several other officials. A large number of local residents also attended the ceremony, where guests were welcomed with traditional scarves.
Speaking at the event, SDM NK Chakma highlighted the long-standing need for improved infrastructure at the Fatikroy Tehsil office, which had faced numerous challenges over the years. He noted that after the new government came to power, special funds were sanctioned in the 2023–24 financial year for the construction of three Tehsil offices and one SDM office in Kumarghat subdivision. The inauguration of the new buildings at Fatikroy and Kanchanbari marks the successful implementation of that initiative.
In his address, Minister Sudhanshu Das emphasized the pace of development in Tripura since 2018, stating: “The progress achieved in the past seven years surpasses even half of what was done in the previous 25 years. The inauguration of these new Tehsil office buildings is a concrete example of the ongoing development in Fatikroy.”
He further added that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas”, India is moving towards becoming a leading nation by 2047. He also praised Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha’s leadership, noting that Tripura’s journey of development continues with foresight and determination.
“Today’s inauguration is another important step towards building a better Tripura,” Das concluded.
