Agartala: June 01. Tripura Police today arrested one person for among three who were booked for allegedly raping a minor girl in Tepania Park under Gomati district.
Police sources said that on Thursday a complaint was filed with the police station in Gomati district alleging that three youths kidnapped and gang-raped a minor girl in the park.
“During investigation we have found that the arrested person had developed a love relationship with the minor girl in Udaipur through social media. The arrested person called the minor girl and asked her to meet him. Accordingly, the minor girl went to Tepania Eco Park without telling anyone at home to visit. When she went there, found three young men waiting for her. The minor girl is somewhat suspicious of their behavior. It is alleged that when the girl tried to come home after realizing danger, three young men took her to an abandoned place with sharp weapons and gang-raped her. Then the three youths took the girl to Rajarbagh area and threw her out of the car and ran away”, said police.
The matter came to light after the girl went home and told everything to her family. Soon the family filed an FIR with the RK Pur Women police station against the three youths.
However police have arrested one persons and found phone call records, chats with the girl for a long time. Police are trying to found out the rest accused persons
Meanwhile, after getting information about this incident, an organization came to the police station and demanded severe punishment for the accused. But they allege that three young men molested them. The police are investigating whether it was gang rape or molestation.
