Agartala, 19th November 2025: Panic gripped Bishalgarh railway station this afternoon after a minor child was spotted on the railway tracks. Alert locals immediately intervened, preventing a possible tragedy.
Witnesses said the child was seen wandering dangerously close to the tracks, prompting residents to rush to the spot. Acting swiftly, they rescued the child and handed him over to the Government Railway Police (GRP) at the station.
Police confirmed that the child has been placed in a safe location while efforts are underway to verify his identity and family background. Officials assured that proper care and protection will be ensured.
Local residents expressed relief at the rescue, stating that the incident could have ended in disaster. Police have launched an inquiry into the circumstances that led to the child being on the tracks.
