Miscreants set fire at Poultry Farm at Santirbazar; Fire Service accused for negligence

Agartala, March 13: Taking advantage of darkness, miscreants set fire at a Poultry Farm in Betaga signboard area under Santirbazar sub-division in the wee hours of Wednesday.

It is reported that miscreants has set fire at a poultry farm owned by Bimal Datta of Betaga Signboard area under Santirbazar sub-division at around 3.30 AM on Wednesday. The pathetic matter is the chickens which were there in the farm were completely burnt.

Speaking to media persons here, owner Bimal Datta said that he had suffered a huge amount of loss and damage due to the late arrival of Santirbazar fire tenders and firefighters.

He accused the Santirbazar Fire Service for not receiving any call. Later Datta contacted the Fire Service headquarters located in Agartala city complaining about the negligence of Santirbazar fire service. He also said that there was a lady constable in Santirbazar police station, who is unable to take decisions.

“When everything has completely burnt to ashes, Santirbazar fire tenders reached the spot. The ablaze could have been brought under control if the fire brigade personnel had reached the spot on time”, Datta firmly said.
