Agartala, February 10, 2023: Ahead of assembly polls, unknown miscreants have created a panicking situation at Pandavpur area under Kamalasagar assembly constituency taking advantage of darkness as they have been terrorizing the residents for supporting CPIM party.

The miscreants have been raising slogans “Can’t do CPIM. If you have done CPIM then you will be excluded from the area. Not only that, those who are doing CPIM in the area will be skinned.” With such a threat, bricks and stones were also pelted on the houses.

At one point the Leftist workers and their families panicked. The police were later informed. Amtali Police Station reached the spot. However, before the arrival of the police, the miscreants flee from the spot. Sudip Datta, a Left Front worker from Pandavpur area under Kamalasagar assembly constituency, complained like this.

He also said that environment is being created day by day that CPIM cannot be supported in the area. These miscreants are creating a terror day by day. The flags, festoons and posters of CPIM were thrown away, he added.

He said these threats are being given for fear of losing power. These miscreants are claiming that people cannot support the CPIM because if such a panicking environment is created then the CPIM workers will not leave their homes and go out to vote. Thinking like this, these things are worked out.
