Agartala, 15th April 2024: The bustling flyover has transformed into a place of trepidation. The deteriorating state of traffic management has led to a surge in vehicular accidents, leaving residents and commuters anxious.
On a fateful Monday afternoon, Samarjit Laskar, a 36-year-old man, encountered a life-altering incident while traversing the flyover. His scooter collided with the pool’s wall, resulting in a gruesome scene: blood streaming from his nose and mouth.
Witnesses promptly alerted nearby motorists, who in turn informed the fire department. First responders arrived swiftly, transporting the critically injured Samarjit Laskar to GB Hospital. His condition remains precarious.
The incident took place in the flyover area of Bardowali, near Milan Chakra. The scooter involved bears the license plate TR01AO-4664. Shockingly, a liquor bottle was found at the accident site, leading some to speculate that alcohol impairment played a role in the crash.
The lack of stringent traffic enforcement exacerbates the situation, leaving citizens deeply concerned. As investigations take place, the city awaits answers and hopes for improved safety measures on its roads.
