Agartala, February 24, 2023: An elephant disappeared from the camp and after 15 hours, this has triggered tension at the Mungiakami elephant camp of the Tripura State Forest Department under Teliamura sub-division and surrounding areas.

It is reported that one of the four elephants from the Mungiakami elephant camp under Teliamura subdivision under the Tripura State Forest Department attacked the mouth of a male elephant named Kishore, broke the chain and the elephant escaped into the vast forest of Atharomura hills. 15 long hours have passed since the elephant went missing, but there is still no trace of the elephant.

Meanwhile, the Forest department staff is actively searching for the elephant in the vast forests of Atharomura hills.

According to the sources of the Forest department, this incident took place because the elephant did not have a friendly relationship with the mahout.
