Agartala, December 07: In a bid to curb the rising incidents of robbery, kidnapping and other crimes in Bishalgarh bypass road, MLA Sushanta Deb has taken a tough stance against the anti-social elements and vowed to punish them severely, even if they are his own kin. He made this announcement while addressing the traders and residents of the area on Wednesday night.
The MLA said that he was saddened and angered by the reports of anti-social activities in Bishalgarh bypass road, which is a dream project for the people of Bishalgarh and has brought many benefits to the area. He said that some miscreants are trying to spoil the reputation and peace of the road by indulging in unlawful acts. He said that he will not spare anyone who is involved in such activities, regardless of their political affiliation or relation to him. He said that he will not hesitate to take action against his own father if he is found guilty of anti-social behaviour.
He appealed to the residents to cooperate with him and inform him immediately if they witness any anti-social activity in the area. He assured them that he will keep their identity secret and provide them with straw if they need it. He said that he is determined to make Bishalgarh bypass road a safe and peaceful place for everyone. He also urged the residents to maintain communal harmony and avoid any provocation. He said that he will visit the area regularly and monitor the situation.
He expressed his dissatisfaction with the police for failing to restore the normalcy and security in the area. He said that he has filed a case at the police station and has asked the police to take swift and stern action against the culprits. He said that he will not tolerate any laxity or negligence from the police in this matter.
He said that Bishalgarh bypass road is a vital link for the development and prosperity of Bishalgarh and he will not let anyone ruin it. He said that he will work hard to ensure that the people of Bishalgarh bypass road can live and work without any fear or trouble. He thanked the people for their support and trust in him.
