Agartala, 18th January 2025: The Sepahijala District Education Officer’s office organized a blood donation camp on Saturday at East Gokulnagar Higher Secondary School in Kamalasagar assembly constituency.
Kamalasagar MLA Antara Sarkar Deb praised the initiative, highlighting the government’s success in fostering a supportive social infrastructure. “The current government has been able to create that social infrastructure,” she remarked, noting the increasing willingness of young people to donate blood outside of organized camps.
The camp was inaugurated by Supriya Das Datta, Sabhadipati of Sepahijala Zilla Parishad and Sushanta Deb, MLA of Bishalgarh assembly constituency. In his speech, MLA Deb emphasized the irreplaceable nature of blood and the importance of donation. “It has not been possible to produce blood in any factory in the world so far. Therefore, donation is the only way to supply this precious thing. Everyone should come forward to donate,” he urged.
Teachers from various schools in the district also participated in the blood donation camp, further demonstrating the community’s commitment to this vital cause.
